What Inspired PaperTuna?

There’s something magical about working with paper—cutting, folding, gluing, and transforming it into something beautiful. Junk journaling, in particular, has been a journey of creativity and expression for me. I love taking old book pages, scraps of fabric, vintage ephemera, and delicate lace, and piecing them together to tell a story. Every page becomes a canvas, and every journal a keepsake of memories, thoughts, and inspiration.

My love for paper crafting led me to create PaperTuna—a name that might sound unusual at first! I wanted something playful, something that didn’t take itself too seriously, yet represented the idea of abundance and creativity. Paper is endless in its possibilities, and I wanted a name that reflected that sense of fun and exploration.

One of the things I love most about junk journaling is working around a theme. Whether it’s vintage, shabby chic, or boho, each theme brings its own charm and uniqueness. A vintage journal feels like stepping into history, while a boho-inspired one bursts with color and free-spirited vibes. Themed journals allow me to explore different aesthetics, experiment with textures, and create something that resonates deeply.

My goal for PaperTuna is to make it a one-stop space for fellow journal lovers—a place where you can find beautifully crafted journals, learn from tutorials, exchange ideas, and, most importantly, feel inspired to create. Whether you’re just starting out or have been journaling for years, I hope to share the joy that comes from working with paper and turning the simplest materials into something extraordinary.

Let’s craft, create, and inspire together!
